Kleopatra Douka
Kleopatra Douka is a Paediatric Physical Therapist (MSc) and a Clinical Specialist in Hippotherapy. Born in Athens in 1986, she graduated from ‘New Education, G. Mallliara’ school in 2003. In 2009 she graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy from the Higher Technological Educational Institute of Athens.
Pursuing her passion for both children and animals, she attended a two-year specialization program at the Scientific Society of Therapeutic Riding and Hippotherapy, Greece, from where she received the title of Clinical Specialist in Hippotherapy (Trainer in Therapeutic Riding and Hippotherapy) in 2010. She continued her studies in the UK, at University College London (UCL) from where she received her MSc in Physiotherapy Studies: Paediatrics in 2015. She continues to expand her knowledge on paediatric physical therapy by attending seminars, the most recent of which related to the kinetic and developmental evaluation of infants:

She has worked as a freelance physical therapist since 2010 and has extensive experience in children with special needs. Alongside her studies in the UK, she worked as a physical therapist for musculoskeletal injuries and conditions at Physiotherapy Kent, Ltd. Upon returning to Greece in 2016, she worked as a professor at the Mediterranean College whilst volunteering at the ‘Spastics Society – OPEN DOOR’ model centre.
Since May 2016, she has been working as a paediatric physical therapist at the ‘E.N.A.’ rehabilitation centre, applying the principles of Functional Physical Therapy and Evidence-Based Practice, as well as being part of the team for the post-operative rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy Kids2Walk.
